WoCo Innovations supplies software that enables housing corporations to make their services more customer-oriented. Founders Marco van Grootel and Rolf Klaar met while developing a software product for a large housing corporation in the Randstad.

About six years ago, they decided to further develop the product independently . To do so, they founded WoCo Innovations, and their solution became "Tailored Answer. 'What binds Marco and me,' explains Rolf, 'is our vision: the customer first. A tenant is not interested in the general story of a housing corporation. He just wants to know: what does that mean for my situation? The information and knowledge in an organization must therefore be made specific for that customer in that situation and against that context. That requires an overhaul of all
basic IT systems.

Because those systems, Marco adds, are grafted onto the logic of the organization itself, with departments such as Collection, Management and Maintenance and Finance. And on business principles, which lead to back offices with the most expert employees and front offices with generalists. Based on customer questions they are not, Tailor-made answers are.

Marco: "We understand the pain of housing corporations very well. From society and politics they are under pressure to improve the service to their clients, often - vulnerable - tenants. The knowledge from the back office must be brought to the front office. Handling 80 percent of the questions on the phone, and giving the same answer in every comparable situation: that was the challenge.

Direction at WoCo innovations

That is exactly what Blueriq is good at and unique in, agrees senior customer success manager at Blueriq, Roel van de Steeg. 'Our platform allows customers to capture their business rules and let the system do the distraction to a decision. Our software already contains a lot of building blocks, such as a decision tree, and all the logic you need for that is in the package. All the customer has to do is add his business logic to it.'
